The DUFF by Kody Keplinger

About a week ago, I finished The DUFF by Kody Keplinger. WOW! It was such an amazing, captivating book. I couldn’t put it down.

As it is in most books, the first fifty pages are a little slow, but that’s because the author has to introduce the reader to a whole new world. After the first fifty pages, I was hooked. The story never lagged and I kept wanting to know what happened next! There were new twists and turns after every chapter. I would sit down and think to myself, “I’m only going to read one chapter. Then I’ll go do whatever I need to do.” Spoiler: that didn’t happen. Each chapter ended in suspense and I just had to keep reading.

I also really loved the style in which the book is written. Bianca’s voice comes through so clearly, and it really adds to her character. It’s a refreshing and unique voice. Another great quality of this book is the character development. Both Wesley and Bianca change throughout the book and learn from each other. Bianca finally understands and accepts the concept of the Duff and Wesley evolves from his womanizing persona.

I absolutely loved The DUFF and I would recommend it in a second. It is beautifully written and the story never stops! I would rate this book a 5 out of 5 stars.

  1. Nicely written review, too! I have the same problem with really well written, suspenseful books. I can’t put them down! Here’s hoping you find more page-turners to tell us about.
